1. General Provisions

This Privacy Policy defines the procedures for processing and protecting the personal data of participants in the V International Contest "Leader of Public Diplomacy" (hereinafter — the Contest), organized by the International Union of Non-Governmental Organizations "World Peoples Assembly" (hereinafter — the Operator, Assembly).

2. Purposes of Personal Data Processing

The Assembly processes personal data exclusively for the following purposes:

  • Preparation and conduct of the Contest in accordance with the Regulations, including verification of the applicant's compliance with Contest requirements.

  • Timely provision of information to participants regarding application status and other Contest-related updates.

  • Enabling communication with participants, including sending notifications, emails, and informational messages.

  • Informing participants about events and activities of the Assembly.

  • Ensuring the security of the Assembly and protecting participant data.

3. Categories of Personal Data Processed

The following categories of personal data may be processed in connection with Contest participation:

  1. Identity document details: full name, date of birth, document type, series, number, date and place of issue, issuing authority.

  2. Employment information: current and previous workplace, position, and job function.

  3. Contact information: residential address, phone numbers, email address, social media and messenger identifiers.

  4. Education, qualifications, certifications, and awards, including details of supporting documents.

  5. Information regarding administrative or criminal liability.

  6. Video and photo materials.

4. Processing Methods

Personal data is processed on paper and/or in information systems, with or without the use of automation tools. Processing includes: collection, recording, systematization, accumulation, storage, clarification (updating, modification), extraction, use, transfer (provision, access), depersonalization, blocking, deletion, and destruction of personal data.

5. Third-Party Data Sharing

The Assembly may engage third parties to process personal data within the scope and for the purposes outlined in this Policy. Such third parties are required to comply with personal data processing principles and rules, maintain data confidentiality, and implement necessary data protection measures.

The Assembly is obligated to provide personal data to authorized state authorities of the Russian Federation only on the grounds and in the manner established by Russian legislation.

6. Consent to Personal Data Processing

By submitting a Contest application, the participant provides specific, informed, and conscious consent to the processing of their personal data under the terms of this Policy. The date of consent is considered to be the date when a signed scanned copy and/or original of the consent form is submitted.

The participant confirms their consent to be recognized as a party to electronic interaction.

7. Processing Duration and Consent Withdrawal

Consent to personal data processing is granted indefinitely. Consent may be withdrawn in writing by sending a notification to the Assembly's address or by email. Withdrawal of consent will make it impossible to achieve the stated processing purposes.

8. Participant Obligations

The participant undertakes not to submit information through the Contest's electronic forms on public-diplomacy.org that violates applicable laws, including the rights of personal data subjects.

The participant is obligated to notify the Assembly of any changes to their personal data. Failure to provide such notification precludes any claims related to the processing of outdated data.
